if you want to get right down on it, the bends dont make a difference. the relation of the knob to the base does. some shifters will leave the knob over the base, others slightly behind, or slightly to the side. as mentioned these variations will lengthen or shorten distances from the base making the throw feel vastly different.

look, i said the same thing over again in a different way too...lolol

fact of the matter is the shifter pretty much has to be bent the same on all these trucks. they all got the dash in the same place, they all got the seat in the same place, and they all got the hole in the floor in the same place. so why would the shifter need to be bent any diferent in one from the other??? kinda seems like a moot point to argue.
