I love our 2001 PT Cruiser. I think it's about the most roomy, versatile small car you can get. It's got about 113K miles on it now and I want a new one before they stop making them. A few days ago I was ready to buy one and drove over to my local dealer and asked about a new one. He said

I had similar experience at 3 dealerships when enquiring about a Challenger R/T. They had none in stock, couldn't tell me when their ordered ones would arrive and did not offer to order one for me. In addition, when i asked about test driving one when they finally get one in, they just about laughed and said they could not be taken for a test drive due to the "collectability" of them!!! I told them, regardless of the positive press, I would not plunk down $35,000+ for a car without a test drive. Am i wrong to think this way?
