The open thing is easily remedied ;-)
Find a nice ol 3.91 (dare I say posi on this forum ;-) out of an old 6 cyl 1/2 ton work truck, and you're in business. Other gear ratios are nice too, 3.73 (great all around gears!), and 3.23 if you want to do a lot of highway cruising, all available in limited slip at one time or another in different vehicles.
