....A customer of mine has a 67 3/4 ton 383 with a 4 speed and wants to swap the front drums to discs...what is the latest options out there for the conversion??...anybody??........BNC

The only straight axle with disc brakes, that I know of, is the mega huge 3500 2WD Ram front axle, that copied the Jeep front axle. The 2500 may have also been a straight axle, but most 2WD axles were IFS.
Now all that being said ...is the truck a D or a W?
If it's a D, he might try the salvage yard for a 2WD Grand Cherokee, they also had that axle, albeit a tad lighter and a bit more narrow, so he would need to either use spacers (I'm not a fan) or cut and lengthen it (a job for a welder who really knows what they are doing).
