I'm trying to undo what a previous idiot did to the steering column on my 70, and need some help. They had a steering wheel off an earlier truck on it, and to make it fit they pulled the c clips off the steering shaft and pushed the outer coulmn down a bit, and in the process of their monkey rigging left a few peices out. I think I found the parts in a truck in the yard that had the column taken apart, but I'm unsure if I have all the parts or the correct order to put it back together. Does anyone have a diagram?
The parts I have include
A C clip, presumably for the lower groove in the steering shaft
A snap ring, presumably for the upper groove in the steering shaft
a red rubber washer, inside edaimeter matches the steering shaft
a bearing with rubber cover
a metal washer inside diameter matches the steering shaft
Thanks for the help.
