My first cars were Chrysler products. In 1956 I had a 1949 Chrysler New Yorker. In 1958, I had a 1950 Plymouth Deluxe. I remember that, no matter what spark plugs I ran, those old flatheads were hard to start if there was any humidity. I had to wipe all condensation off the plugs and off the inside of the distributor cap to get them running.

Now, I have no problems with humidity. The same old flatheads start right up. I don't think the humidity is different so it must be the plugs.

On the Kempner Power Wagon Museum web site, I have an article on Auto Lite products used in Chrysler vehicles. There's a great movie showing those products being manufactured. I wonder how many of the items you can name.
