Yeah, well . . under the hood doesn't show well . . let's just say that some lipstick was slapped on that pig. That is one tired poly in there. Cams are almost flat . . can barely breathe, but dependable and does not smoke. Interior is clean, but you know . . they're pretty basic. Not much going on. I pulled the door handles and window cranks recently and am lubricating the works. Apparently never touched. Splines for the window and door cranks ara all but stripped. Need to look for a newer set or do some jerry-rigging. Vent pulls are extremely stiff. Gauges are intermittent. You know the deal . . touch one thing and it leads to another. Just need to spend a few afternoons dismantling things and cleaning up. New windshield and rubber, all glass good, new headliner, brakes refurbished completely, new tires. . . nice clean bench seat . . very comfortable. Some cancer in doors along bottom troughs. Just going to take it one step at a time. That two-tone paint job, low wide cab, and long bed do show nicely imo. Just looks like a clean ranch truck. The color in the photo is off . . it is actually more turquoise in daylight. Anyhow, the old gal still gets around . . and gets thumbs up. I can't complain . . and I haven't dumped a load of dough in her either. Need to get my ducks in a row for that engine, and the tranny. Door post tag says it's a 420 trans . . but it has a granny first and also a non-synchro second, leading me to believe it's a 435. Definitely an old work truck off the farm.
