Who me? I personally don't but wonder where and when the term Sweptline came to define ALL (sweptline, utiline) of the D/W 100-500 pickups made from 1961-71. Does it define the era as others mentioned or does it specifically define the trucks that we talk about here.
I have a Dodge truck brochure from 1965 that describes a Sweptline and Utiline pickup and seems to make a distinction between the two. From the Utiline page: D100 and D200 models have the same sturdy components as the Sweptlines... Yes, we know the obvious difference, bed type, but I find it interesting that Dodge did not refer to both models as Sweptlines.
I realize this has nothing to do with the L600 in question but I think does raise an interesting question as to the origin and definition of a Sweptline. Worth the discussion in my opinion.
