When the Army ordered the M880 series, 1 1/4 ton Dodge trucks, Dodge adapted it using the W200. There have been many folks on the various forums who have bought surplus M880's and used them at the ton-and-a-quarter capacity.

I need the parking brake cables from the fitting where the two cables are connected to the single cable that comes back from the hand brake lever.

Back in the seventies, we had a Winnebago Class A motor home. (Dodge M300) In conversations with mechanics, I was told that some front end alignments required a shop that worked on 18 wheelers since the solid front axle had to be bent. I haven't had this same conversation for many years and I don't know what the current procedure is. Even back then I had no other vehicle that had

Norm, I'm pretty much a "Flat Fender" guy, so I really enjoyed watching your forays into my world. Even though you were a "W" kind of guy, you understood when a wrench needed a little help. This photo is proof that you not only left the "Golden State" but also discovered gold in Texas (Some folks say it is rust.) I am glad that we each have walked on

It is nice to have those "old friends we just met" stop by and enjoy our efforts at sharing this great hobby. I really like it when I get favorable comments from folks other than Norm. His credibility is a little questionable since he would not leave until Kathy and I gave him a steak.

The Kempner Power Wagon Museum is between Denton and to Austin. Take I-35 south 175 miles, and then go 35 miles west on US 190. From Kempner on to Austin is about 60 miles - close to the same distance as the I-35 segment that you would have taken if you did not make the 35 mile "detour" to Kempner, so the side trip to Kempner will add less than 50 miles. I will not be available Tu

It's 104 degrees and I've been working outside to replace the window AC in the Kempner Power Wagon Museum office. I am on a break trying to cool off. My brain may be fried and I am wondering - did I miss something? I wouldn't change the rear axle ratio in a four-wheel-drive without changing the front ratio to match.

who would build a 5 ton rock crawler. Isn't that about the weight of a "bobbed" deuce-and-a-half? What does a “monster truck” weigh? I had a 413-III w/727 in my full sized motor home. The 413-III was the truck block with strengthened webbing and other “heavy duty” features. It came with a standard 4 barrel carb. I replaced the stock intake manifold with an Offenhauser

I was registered for both sites. I recently suffered the consequences of a "rootkit" and I have lost "cookies" and other content. I have been unable to reestablish access on the "sweptline" due to a lost password or incorrect user ID. I cannot re-register because the computer knows who I am. I just need for the "sweptline" computer to pretend I neve

I would like to look at your truck, but I can't get access to "sweptline" site. Does anyone else think that having access to this site should be good for both?

I celebrate this day every year by driving my WC52 through the parking lots at WalMart and the malls and running over all the Mitsubishis (Builder of the Jap Zero), Kawasakis (Builder of the "Betty" bomber) and other companies that contributed to the enemy war effort - and hollering, "Remember Pearl Harbor!" Okay, douse the torches. A little humor from one who used t

Since these trucks did not come with a CD player, I would check all the wiring you added for your after market device.
