This is a picture I came across of my uncles 69 W100 in 1971. This was my first Power Wagon, 71 W200, from back in the 80's.

Why would the 440 be any different than a 360 as far as the steering box goes? Not much difference in dimensions with the 727 between smallblock and bigblock. Especially were your going to cut the crossmember for the bell.

If you put the 64 727 in your truck, you'll never find a 360 torque convertor to fit the tranny. Input shafts are different. 66 and down use a small input shaft on the 727, 67 and up use the large. Unless you have a custom convertor made for the 360 with a small input hub, but you'll never find an off the shelf convertor. Remember the 360's use a specially balanced convertor for

6.70 15 was standard, 6.50-16 was optional. There are no published numbers on the trucks only a total made, but no breakdowns as to bed types, engine types, etc. All that is published is that 52,140 D100's were built in 1966.

No, I understand what you are saying. The fuel sloshing has nothing to do with whether or not there is pressure or vacuum in the tank. If what you are saying was true, even the later setup would blow fuel out with fuel slosh. I still say you have the wrong cap or it's junk, fuel sloshing shouldn't open the vent on the cap, regardless if the tank is vented or not and if the tank is vente

Where does the vent tube vent to? Does it go up into the roof? because a vent tube has to be higher than the tank in order to work properly. I know the 70-71 tanks have a expansion type chamber in the roof pillar with a hose coming off that, that vents outside the cab. I never checked one out thoroughly, I'm assuming it's similar to a pollution charcoal filter in design. I still don&

It's my understanding that the originals were "Vented" one direction atmosphere into tank only, these caps will have a warning label on them as well to beware of pressure when removing. I believe all new caps vent both ways in and out with different pressure settings. The vent's are spring loaded and should not allow fuel to pass as in turning corners or sloshing fuel. If it

No, there the same left or right. The stud is centered from front to back, so you can use them on either side.

It appears, NAPA 7031220 is a standard non-vented cap. NAPA 7031221 is the vented.

No, those are some photo's I found on Google. The propane one looks like it might have come off a power unit of some sort.

As far as I know the bigger trucks used a different engine than the light duty trucks, heads, water pumps, manifolds, etc are all specific to the bigger trucks.
