Unless you want to continue feeling every pebble or imperfections in the roads stay away from poly bushings. Stick with oem stuff. The poly stuff will make it handle better and is a lot stronger, but you will have to sacrifice the ride.

Hey John, I have a couple badges, one is an early one painted white or ivory inside which is a real nice one, the other one is a swept era painted black inside, but it has a couple pits on the chrome. I can send you a couple pic's if you want. I figure the nice one is worth $20.00 and $10.00 for the other one. Ya, Josh still has the old 68, he runs it now and then, but it really needs som

We definitely need shelter up here in the N.E. it does get pretty nasty around here. Although we have been pretty lucky this year, yesterday was our first measureable snow of the winter, but there saying we are going to stay cold now. Doug, The old garden tractors are real cool and fun to work on, plus you can actually work them, there not like the crap they build now all the new stuff is not

Gary, A inch of clearance is more than enough for a fan that is not weak or damaged. If the fan was flexing more than a 1/4 inch, there is something wrong with it. I highly doubt the blade are or were flexing over an inch, that seems like an awful lot. Usually they don't put flex fans on a clutch set-up. You may want to look at your motor mounts or more importantly your tranny mount if it

Terry, Flex fans move a lot, that is one of the dangers of flex fans. Personally, I hate the stupid things. Stock or non-flex fans still move to some degree, but nothing like flex's do. The arms of the fan don't move it is the blade itself that moves and over time even a stock type fan can crack or break from fatigue as mentioned. Electric's are ok but they have there faults too

I was thinking of that...., but figured it would take up too much space along with the cost of having to go higher with my ceiling...., so I decided not to.:S

Hi John, My trusses are 2' on center, they were cheaper than going with the 4' on center trusses. I used 1/2" OSB for my ceiling, so I didn't have to use perlin's or strapping with the trusses being 2' on center. I hung the OSB directly to the trusses. Around here if we were going to use sheetrock or comparible I would have to strap it 16" on center, we use a

Thanks guy's, Ya, I went with the foam insulation to help keep the varmints from taking up residence. It is definitely nice to have some working room along with room to keep the toys. I still have to finish some wiring inside, insulate the ceiling and do all the trim work on the outside, but I can do all the odds and ends over the summer and still use the garage.

I used 1" R-5 foam insulation. All I did was paint the insulation. Along the wall your looking at, where it's pink I put 1/2" OSB 4' up from the floor. I put the OSB to protect the insulation along the wall, which is in the work bay. Everywhere else I just painted the insulation because the walls wont be subject to any damage.

Here in MASS, traffic violations don't go in front of a judge, they are all heard with a magistrate and there are no court cost only the fine if found guilty. As mentioned usaully the magistrate asks the officer what evidence do you have to prove the alledged violation... Just fight it, this bozo has needs to be taught a lesson in law enforcement, no evidence no case!!!

Everything is going great here in Mass. I will be working on the 69 very shortly. I'm still in the process of moving all my stuff from my Dad's to my new garage. The Valiant and the D100 will be the last things I move, then I will be able to start working on it again.

Hi Guy's, Long time no chat.....been real busy with work and trying to get my new garage all set up so and moving. Man I never realized how much crap you can accumilate over the years I ran across this interesting beast today and thought it was pretty interesting to say the least. It looked to be a early to mid 70's utility line construction rig, the bed is definitely not original f
