Hello there! I have a 66 D100 that I am converting to a 4wd. The parts truck I am using is a 77 3/4 ton W200. My main questions are how well does the steering match up, as in can I use the drag link and pitman arm from the 77as a direct swap? Also the truck has the np 435 4-speed. Question there is

I am using the 66 D-100 frame and the 77 has a automatic. The transfer case is a np-205 as well. Thanks for the welcome!

Joe,
If you intend on using the 727 Loadflite from your '77, you'll have to cut out the manual tranny bell housing cross member. The cut will need
to be made in a way as NOT to remove any of the structure that aids in supporting the leaf spring perches. On the remaining "stubs" there should be four small holes [per side] that are used to install a "spanner" member. You will need an auto tranny cross member. Ideally, you'd want to locate a '61-'68 member from a D100/200 truck. This tail shaft cross member I'm describing "should" work for a divorced t-case NP 205. As for the actual t-case cross member.... I do not know how they differ from the
NP 201 t-case cross members. I'm sure others can help here....
John
