I have a pretty nice original 70,D200,383,727.power steering, and air conditioning. I am kicking around the idea of media blasting it, putting it in epoxy primer, and spraying it with the original poly gold color. The problem i am having is that i am removing 40 plus years of cool, the original pai

What a BEAUTIFUL truck!!!!

No man can tell another how to spend his money, and my 2 cents is worth maybe 2 cents, but as far as restorations go it appears as you have a 'gold coin'...pun intended. I love muscle cars, but I also love history, and to me there's no difference in appeal for any vintage vehicle (especially one with sentimental value) brought back to 'new'. What's the difference between your roadrunner and your d200? Speed? End value? One is no more classic than the other and has equal appeal in its respective circles. If it's prime resale value you seek, maybe this isn't for you, but if you're going to keep it, I think a shot of paint and a polish is a grand idea. If it were me I would just as soon sell it as leave it to sit behind the house...in time, it'll either become someone else's project or scrap metal anyway.

Here's an even better idea...restore your d200 to 'reliable driver' status and use it to trailer your roadrunner to shows! Jim
