My 69 W200 had a similar Ford box and it worked great.
My new 70 W200 has a Toyota box in the stock location and it works great too just a tad more effort to steer than with the Ford box conversion!
If you are not able to work on this yourself, most frame shops can do this type of work. I paid about $1,500 (all in) to have it done on my 69 W200.
g'luck!!
