We have a 69 D 100. We are trying to adjust the back of the hood down, so that its flush when closed. We've manage to get the drivers side down to where we like it. The passenger side, we are having no luck on. Its close, but we cant add anymore shims to the front bolt, because we are out of b

Longer bolt!
But, u will reach a limit on how far it will adjust before it starts to distort (bend) the hood. This is caused by the pivot pin holes in the hinge enlarging due to wear.
Plastic trucks suck...
