I picked up a 69-71 Heavy Duty Gauge cluster and it has the 6000 rpm Sun tach in it ST-633. Does this tach require the Sun transmitter box? Mark D. 1968 W200 Sweptline 1969 D100 Utiline 1971 D100 SE Sweptline 1993 D250 Club Cab Sweptline 1986 W250 Cab & Chassis 1978 D300 Sweptline E. Brookfield

Most of the ones I've seen have them mounted on the top of the inner fender. It's a black box with a red tag and it should be labeled Sun. Your tach, does it have a model or part number on the face of the gauge, the one I have is a ST-633.
