I picked up a 69-71 Heavy Duty Gauge cluster and it has the 6000 rpm Sun tach in it ST-633. Does this tach require the Sun transmitter box? Mark D. 1968 W200 Sweptline 1969 D100 Utiline 1971 D100 SE Sweptline 1993 D250 Club Cab Sweptline 1986 W250 Cab & Chassis 1978 D300 Sweptline E. Brookfield

That tach is different than the ones used in pre 69 HD gauges. Only the earlier tach had the box on the fender. I have the same ST-633 in a 70 truck and no box.Quote
