The OD is attached directly to the rear of the NP435 trans. GearVendor OD's consist of the basic OD unit, plus the adapter piece that bolts on the back of the specific trans and bolts directly to the GV unit. FYI the adapter for the Dodge NP435 is unique to the Dodge NP. How do I know this, cause GV first sent me an adapter for the rear of a Ford NP435 by mistake. Had my Dodge out today for another test run --love my "new 7 speed trans" and the lower rpms when in 7th (4th overdrive).
