I decided to check the lube in the steering box on my 71 D300.. It seems Dodge used two boxes for the Sweptlines, and my truck has the one made by Ross. After scraping off years of crud to find the filler hole, I discover what appears to be a slotted "bolt" on top. Guess this is the fille

I didn't have time yesterday to continue. Thanks PS The Dodge steers and tracks very well and the box doesnt leak --assuming there is oil in it!!! R
