To finish my 1960 W500 Power Wagon, I sourced a 318 poly that I believe is a 318-3. The engine is in and runs fine. I can’t recall exactly, but I think the engine needed several peripheral parts. I don’t think it had the original tube, as it did not register any oil at all on the dipstick and it was at least about 9” long.
From research it was started that it needed to be 8”.
That is interesting to know that 7 quarts is OK.
