I got replacment belt line strips and they do not have the metal backing like original. they are wavy and cheap looking when installed. anyone know which brand stil has the metal backing?

I looked closer at my 61 rusted remnanats of belt strips and they appear to have been theolder felt style with the metal strip the clips actually attach to. on my 62 they are just rubber with no metal. I think I will use some weather strip adhesive to make them look and stay in place better.
