none of the 2wd dodges i have had in the past had any type of bump stop on them. on my 66 i only removed one spring, and on a large bump it would hit the frame with the spring thru bolt. the best way to lower one is with a front clip from an independant front suspension. do not heat the springs, you will ruin them and you cannot be accurate in the lowering.
