John, very, very sorry about your accident. I can relate to your boredom, for sure. When I had ankle surgery a few years ago the TV thing almost drove me nuts, especially me, because I don't watch TV!!!! The pain meds keep you from being able to read, I would have loved to been able to devour a few good books. What to do?? My wife came up with the saving solution that I will pass along to you. Movies. She started renting me some good movies, then she subscribed me to Netflix so I could pick the movies myself and she did not have to keep running to the video store. If you have a movies by mail service in England maybe this will help you, I hope so.
And I must echo Jimmie, when my dad first taught me about a circular saw some 45 years ago he scared me SO BAD about that thing that to this day I am very careful...and still scared to death of it.
