reason i mentioned heating it, the steel takes a lot longer to get to any temp then the air. the nights are cool and wet down there, and the steel im sure is in your dark damp garage. so there is no way it will be 70-75 degrees. when you spray the piant on cold steel, it doesnt flow to self level as well. it cools too fast and gets too thick to flow out the way it should. just a suggestion that worked well for me when i was down in houston. around here its so dry an hour in the sun makes it perfect...
