I concur with Soopernaut. I have yet to ever see the vehicle weight listed on a VIN tag. Just capacities for axles and springs.
The weight question seems solved anyway. Read up the thread... My book shows his 1970 D100 weighing 3,477 lbs for a short bed 318 and 3,822 lbs for a long bed 318.
Subtract weight accordingly for all the missing metal in the floor boards, cab supports, fenders and bed.
Add accordingly for gas, oil, gun rack & joke book.
