No need to guess on the dry weight. It's been published.
The 1/2, 3/4 ton and 1 ton ton monikers are NOT the actual carrying capacity... they are merely nods to 60 some years ago when they did correspond.
I stand by my calculations. Obviously one has to pay attention to spring weight. Springs notwithstanding, the axle weights combined would equal total weight of truck and cargo.
