My truck sometimes is hard to start. (69 W200 318 with Mopar orange box) Just before turning back the key from trying to start, it wants to start! Obviously when I turn the key back it can't start. I checked the grounds and they all seem great. I changed the balast resistor. This happens when

I thought that blue one on drivers side might be a second ballast! Yes, I bypassed the white one on the passenger side near the orange box. It seems to be running great now... I wasn't sure if by disconnecting the newer white ballast I might burn out the coil faster. I will monitor the coil and carry a spare just in case.
