Hi john Bores all good crankground 30 over, parts ordered from over here, block flushed, will change rings. a bitch of a job gettin engine out had to pull the whole front end off. New radiator being built recored here.I have fitted propane to the truck and had to move a lot of that, Took two days to get out, The toughest part was the bolts inside the fender holding the front on,Goin on Vacation

Coming back from Basildon essex I got stuck in bad traffic on london Bridge, The truck overheated big time. It devoloped a knocking rattle on over run, Big ends shot, bent conrod,Got the engine stripped Crankshaft regrind new rings, conrod, Gaskets etc,Oh the Joys of owning an American truck in England, Cheers all John

Hi Jimmie Thanks mate. 1969 W200 crew cab 4x4 utiline body. 8lug nuts I think the army when they had it fitted one tone axles but cant recall where I got that info.Are you saying Dana rear and Spicer front or what? Would a pix help? There are hubs with I think 5 or 6 nuts on studs to pull the axle shafts or half shafts. Iv lost your email, is there any way of discussing all this with you

Hi Chaps, What axle do I have?When I look in the workshop manual it list dana/spicer single reduction models 27,30,44,44-1,53,60,60-35,70. There are no tags I believe the gearing to be 4-11s. I also think for some reason I have one ton axles., I have a sharp clunk when puttiong the tranny in gear also a whine and a bad vibration which I believe could be the rear end. Hi Chaps I have a old Tekonsha Hydraulic and electric brake unit, that i use when I pull my WW Horse trailor or my four horse gooseneck, After getting the truck rewired the brake unit hook up doesnt work the unit seems ok and i get voltage coming out around 10 volts or so does anyone have any experience they would care to share, I need to know if the out put voltage is variable? does it increas

Hi Chaps A while back in one of the forums there was an article on making a voltage stabilizer, the little magix box deal that drops the voltage too the dash board gauges. Mine is fritzed and i cannot get one here so i thought id build one, I searched the forum archives but get a fault message. Can anyone help? Out of interest and it may make y'all feel better, Gasoline is now at $10.26.

Chaps Ok I have a 1969 dodge w200 with a 1975 318ci with automatic 3spd box to a 203 trans case (I thin Im running 4.11s Tags are gone, Its the power plant from a 1975 W300 so the trans case is directly connected (married) Does any one have any opinions of what this would benefit me. Hi again Gordo please I need more info on this I have no idea what you mean Copper bushing for pilot shaft gone.! Front end AOK Its a 1969 W200 4x4 auto box Im at a loss with this its been there for ages I have posted before about it but never had an answer.By the way dont forget im in England ther aint any one around I can go too with this. Hi Thanks for the input Guys. All drive train, u js splined shaft rebuilt tires cant get balanced over here they are 33" and wont go on machine, have tried having someone follow and all checks out ok,Tried reving engine in neutral but nothing, Im sure I would notice one cylinder not firing! engine and truck is running sweet up till 60mph then vibration starts and 4x4 lever vibrates so you c

That sounds like my life gettin that truck home. Oh the pleasures of owning an old Dodge.Good luck with it Im sure youl end up lovin the truck Just as I do with my Piece of **** but really they are a labour if love just when you get something fixed ....something else fails. Hi Chaps So am I right in thinking that you have 12volt going into the ballast resistor and 6volt coming out the coil I have the standard electronic setup. Please keep it simple The problem I have is the truck gags and splutters if i floor it hard. Cheers all John

Hi Chaps Any one else had this. The float in the gas tank hits the side of the tank behind the rear seat on my crew cab when the tank is half full (when!!!!!) I took it out then rotated it anti clockwise and it seems to have cured it. Is there a set position for it? cheers all John

Hi Doug I already have the auto trans on the rear of a 318ci and am using the very heavy and large married full time trans case with a milemarker kit installed it gives part time 4X4 Which you described in an earlier post as the huge NP203.Would you recommend swapping to the NP208? Cheers John
