This one is in Black Hawk, the Red truck is Bill's from Oklahoma, warmed up 318, with Dominator carb, adjustments had to be made, coming from Sea Level it wasn't prepared for the altitude, even at the 5500 foot level he had problems with it not idling at stop lights without keeping his foot on the gas.

Sweptline Cruise, had many phone calls yesterday about some jackass trying to cancel the Cruise! That person does not live in Colorado, nor does he participate by supporting or planning, basically he speaks out his ass! Easy-Street LLC takes in consideration the fact that their needs to be a back up plan, every year! We do not look for reasons to cancel, for the truck owners work on their truck f

I just happened to drop in, and my wife & daughter driving my truck to win the Sweptline Cruise Rally is the picture. Its the second year for the Rally and after the 1st the Rally got everyone involved, and those that wouldn't normally enjoy being out talking trucks found themselves having fun. My daughter had her driving permit, but the wife won the battle to see who was driving and

Next years planning will start in the middle of October. I'll give ya's more links to articles on the 2011 Event as they come in. Once a

Truck owners, just a reminder, on September 24th 2011 we are having the 6th anual Sweptline Cruise! Check your belts, hoses, brake lines, and tires, tune them, for those of you coming from lower altitude's, you may find your truck running a little rich when your on your way up, you'll end up at or around 5280 feet above sea level, don't worry Red Rocks is below 6500 feet above

I still don't feel comfortable with you NOT having the Poly, you helped bring it out of the closet, infact I almost suggested a NEW truck owner to you for questions about the POLY! Then I remembered you don't have it

and that is really strange, we here in the front range are having the dryest winter since 1888, 1" of snow this year, and temps in the mid 60's, Mountains above 8000 ft are getting their share and skiing is well under way, but at 6000 ft we' ve got nothing, infact its so warm I plan on spraying some primer.

They've used Mag Chloride here in the Metro area of Colorado, hasn't done anything to any vehicle, but I was mine periodically, especially the undersection, I don't see any new rust on any of the vehicle's. The thing is about Mag Chloride is it can't be put down if the temp goes below 20 degrees for it will freeze, so in reality we don't see it put down alot.

I rely can't give any measurements cause the 68 doesn't have the engine tranny in yet. I've got power steering to finish and the disc, daughter's "Rice Burner" is occupying time right now.

Cars are normally driven more, and higher speeds (avg person) than trucks, truck engines are the exact same as car, actually lower power versions, so where does the extra heat on a truck come from?

Good luck, and don't be surprised if you see what I posted, didn't take me long to find, but then I've been dealing with these trucks along time, you could hook up the one I posted, but it has the 4 bolts into the cab, which is standard for the 69-71 trucks, I believe yours has 2 bolts, and of coarse the standoff bracket, because of the hydraulic setup for the clutch.

I just put W springs on the 68, to lower it, and it just slapped on, they were used on a D200 (foshe69) before I got them from him. A few people here have swaped out springs for the W's so the space between the tire and fender is gone, the W springs I just put on the 68 came off a 80's PowerWagon. I've noticed alot of difference between the years trucks also, and I guess that expla

yes, and then I just retract my footsteps and that booster and master probably won't work on that year of truck, without help, it would go for the 68-71 with a small block or 225. my mistake.

Hey, their is a group of 3 trucks looking to come down that way for the Cruise next year, I have small thoughts of going out with my 18' camper being pulled by my 68, and coming in to the Cruise with them, one really big deal I have to get over, the last month before the Cruise is the busiest of all, so I don't know if I can actaully do it.
