Norm, Thank you so much for caring about the Dodge Truck legacy. I have really enjoyed this site and it is an invaluable resource. I haven't been as active lately but its out of pure laziness with forgetting passwords left and right. I wish you the best of Luck and I truly hope your health holds up for many years of enjoyment. How about an almost finished 70 Dude for truck of the month

Is it a Carter or Stromberg? Do you have a throttle return spring hooked up near the front of the manifold?

QuoteMoparNorm Rubber failures with oil pressure (or on a date) are not a good thing... I ran a copper line, but i pushed it through a rubber line from connection to connection, that way it doesn't rub any other metal.

Dan gave me this response today, hopefully they will be in soon!! The door seal weatherstrip and the division bar channel are in stock. The back order issue seems to be with the upper glass run and the window felts. The latest info I have on an ETA is early February 2011. The door seals are part #DWP 3110 61 @ $55.00 per pair (glue on installation). The division bar channel is part #D1014 @

QuoteMoparNorm No argument here, 500 is best for a stock motor, 600 is passable with head and intake porting, cam and headers. I really wanted a 500 but i couldn't find 1. I think i may sell the rebuilt 600 i have and look for a 500

If your existing harness is good, you could run the mopar electronic with a single wire alternator and have it hooked up in 10 minutes without hacking the existing harness at all. I just used a piggyback connector at the 2 prong ballast resistor.
