Been working on the crew cab recently. Picked up the running gear from a rolled '96 Dodge 2500 Cummins 4x4. Bought a gasket/seal kit from Cummins and went through the engine. After 250k miles you can still see the cross hatching in the cylinder walls. Also went through the NV4500 trans and NV241HD t-case and cleaned them up and added new seals. The engine has 60 lb exhaust springs for a exhaust brake, 3k gov spring kit and #100 fuel plate. Other than that it's pretty stock. Soon to install ARP head studs just couldn't quite afford them right now along with a South Bend clutch. Will also advance the timing to 15.5 to 16 degrees and maybe do injectors and a twin turbo compound set up one of these days but that's down the road. As for now I have the engine/bellhousing/trans sitting in the frame and have fit the intercooler and radiator. Just cut out some motor mounts on the CNC plasma table and have them in the frame just need to get them welded in next so I can get the frame sandblasted and boxed. Can't wait to get it fired up!
