A friend has a 1968 D100 with Slant 6, 3 on the column and he was thinking about swapping in a 318. Would the tranny from the Slant 6 bolt right up? Do the A and LA 318's have the same bolt up pattern? What extra parts would be needed to swap it in. I haven't ever dealt with those transmi

It should, but check input shaft, spline count and diameter and check the throw-out bearing and clutch arm, to insure that they are compatible.
