.....My W500 clutch lever went to the floor and stayed,,,,had to pull it up with my foot...whats up with that???...drove it 2 weeks back and no problem now it stays on the floor...........anyone know????................BNC

I think it is John Geidl that sells them, but I could be way wrong on that.
Jimmie, the reason they do that is:
There is a big spring on the clutch pedal up under the dash. It is set up as an "over center" spring. It will either push the pedal all the way to the floor or all the way back up. The pedal is "returned" more by the force of the pressure plate springs than the return spring at the slave. As long as there is enough movement left in the slave (ie, no seal leakage due to wear), the pressure plate moves the fluid back out of the slave, into the master, which retracts the pedal from the floor. If this movement gets it past center, it will come back up. The day that either cylinder wears enough that it releases the clutch, but doesnt get it back past center, is when it goes to the floor. Bleeding wont fix it cuz unless there is air in it, which there shouldnt be.
