Yes, Pat, I think so?

I posted a link above to John's for the re-lined masters & slaves, plus lots of other neat stuff > >

I understand the over-center problem, Terry, I was meaning I can't understand why a truck that didn't need a return spring at slave & clutch lever suddenly needs one, with all new components in either case, before & after. Strangeness.

I have personally had long experience with the cast bell hydraulic clutch and several times, pedal to floor, the root problem was a need to bleed slave. Lost residual pressure was the problem, so that restored system pressure puts system back in balance. Clutch return springs help, but of course won't compensate for a leak.

Return spring helps slave force fluid back to master, forcing master piston back to rest position, causing brake pedal to return to rest position by master cylinder push rod force.

Needs proper free play at pedal arm to master also, in additon to correct free play at slave to clutch lever. Master to clutch pedal free play influences over-center spring operation too, helping pedal return to proper position.

Correct master cylinder volume of bore x stroke is critical to good clutch operation.
