With it correctly wired with a relay as it was before the Cummins install, the China junk key switch cannot carry enough amperage to crank the starter. It requires the HD pushbutton switch to get the job done, or else I could install a more heavy duty ignition switch. I preferred and do prefer the pushbutton. In today's world not many folks are accustomed to a starter pushbutton so it's virtually an anti-theft device, plus the spare pushbutton I have on the inner fender makes some maintenance tasks much easier.
