It looks like I will be putting a 440 where there was a 383 in a 1968 sweptline 727. So here is what i have waiting,.... A 1968 440 which has all accesories and is very complete. 1. You should be ok with your early 440 using the 383 converter, see link... [www.440source.com]
2 you can use the 383 manifolds,but the later 400'440 truck manifolds flow better ... [www.ebay.com]
3 The 383 motor mounts will work on the 440
