Does anyone know the major differences in a D100 versus a D200? I know D200 hubs are 8-lug and the springs are heavier but is the frame the same as a D100? Are all the body panels the same? Thanks.....AC AC - The Searcher. Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 07/16/2014 01:23PM by acirco11.

The vin is different and it is also stamped into the frame.
Since the only difference between a late 65 and a 66 is the sequential build number of the vin, why would a 100 to 200 conversion with a wrong vin meet your goal, but not a 65 with a wrong vin that is otherwise identical?
