Are the NP 420-435 transmissions supposed to take the same gear oil (90W/80-90W) as the diff? Noticed the the "Hypoid gear lube GL5", has Sulphur that can cause corrosion of brass parts, synchros, etc. NAPA dude in town can'r shed any light on it, says "use the same in everythin

Let me add this. I currently own 16 Swepts (at last count) and have parted more than 50 in the last 8 yrs. All but a few yokes have had lockwashers. I never paid attention to which didnt because they are few and far between. When 80% have lockwashers, that sure as hell isnt aftermarket mechanics adding them!
