Was it possible to get a 1962 W100 Short box with 3/4 ton drive? Was that something you could get? If so how would you know you have it?

Like HObcobble said that is the way they came. you could even order the large knuckle 44 front axle in the 1/2 tons as well. Dodge had not conceived of the idea of wimpy 5 lug axles until 69. they tried wimpy stuff back in 1939 and1940 and quickly realized size matters in 4x4s an upgraded to monster size assemblies. driving
