May not have anything to do with anything, but my last Poly got low on power, still running pretty smooth. Compression readings were normally near 150. Tested after low power and #3, #6 and #8 were real low. Pulled the heads and those 3 cylinders had a pie-shaped piece about the size of my pinky finger nail burned out of the exhaust valve!
That engine ran smooth, was being used daily to haul a 10,000 lbs trailer with back of truck loaded with equipment too. Even with those valves burned like that it was still showing 60-70 lbs on those cylinders. Poly is one amazing engine.
