Guys, With the new engine going into my truck I want to convert over to electronic ignition. My wire harness is old, brittle, and looks bad. I dont want to salvage it, just buy new. Who do you recommend to use for a custom new harness that is set up for electonic ignition. Thanks fish

Just to add fuel to the fire, I'm changing out an ammeter right now, on a '76. It's wired just like the Sweptlines, with the primary voltage running thorough it from the alternator. It's melted...
While, like Terry,I prefer an ammeter, I'm converting it to a voltmeter and taking it out of that loop. A voltmeter will tell me if the alternator is charging, but I will lose the information that an ammeter gives me.
