If I had the $$ I would probably put one in. they are very nice units.

if you went with the unit in your pic you dont need to do anything to your tranny. it just mounts like a divorced Tcase. shorten rear driveline and make a custom one to go between unit and tranny.

if pressure to high it will keep float open. mechanical pumps are only 2.5 to 7 lbs psi. its probably not that but it is running rich. and when your driving at 50 mph the float is alomst always open slightly because fuel is always being consumed

I knew that about the adapters. I have played with the GV units before. nice set up. they do make remote mounted units as well. unless they discontinued them

not so good. runs way better than the holley but seems to be sucking gas the same or worse....... i am suspecing the electric fuel pump maybe be blasting too much fuel in when driving at speed. I am going to switch to mechanical and see if it helps. a friend was following me for 40 miles on hwy 3 when the holley was on it and they could smell fuel the whole time. it has mopar electronic ig

I am going to try all 3 carbs and test mileage. I will post results. I really need to change diff to 4.11s from the current 4.88s. just dont need the 4.88s with a big block. that might help a little as well

thanks for the input. glad to hear you can get over 10 on the bb. I am in single digits with crappy running holley on it now. I do have an afb I am thinking of putting on with an adapter. I love afbs because you can really dial them in by changing jets and rods. I had a 318 poly in a D300 that someone had put a 70s 2 barrel from either a slant 6 or a 318 and I got 19 mpg. I had hardly

the venturis on the BBD are significantly larger than on the WW3. wondering if its just going to dump more fuel in or run better because getting more air.

I dont get what you mean by flashes or pulses. shouldn't the reading show a continuous 5 V? seems like if the voltage was pulsing you would not get gauges to read.

I installed one of those and it only lasted about 6 months before it let all 12 volts through and ruined my fuel and temp gauges. my try replacing it? the one i am referring to looked like apiece of trident gum with a ground wire coming out of it. if I did that again I would use the reducer like is found on the round gauge trucks. more HD

the close ratio 435 reverse is not as low as the standard wide ratio 435. if you like the really low reverse might want to see which gear set yours has.

Only 1 set left of W300 and 2 sets left of D300. I probably will not make anymore after this run.

Finallyh done with the reproduction rear shock mounts for D and w300. they were a very rare option on 1 tons. The improvement in ride and drivability is incredible. I have had a bunch of 1 tons some with and some without and just a whole different truck with rear shocks. This are custom made just like the originals. The W300 have a bit more material where the weld is so a bit stronger. I

Some steps of the project I farmed out and it took a long time and of course way more money than expected. ;/) 61-71 D300 repro rear shock mounts and 61-71 W300 repro rear shock mounts $220.00 per set I will post pics when I get the nuts and bolts this week

I always wondered why the lower door hinge cover was held on with one screw but when you pull it off there are 5 holes. Well I picked up my very early production 61 D300 and it has 5 screws holding it on. I think this came up a long time ago and maybe someone else saw the same? I have had 3 61s but this one is the earliest build number 8XXX. The other 2 did not have 5 screws like this

So this has taken a while because a few of the steps to make these I had done in a machine shop and a metal fab shop. they made a mistake and then took a long time. Waiting for a final cut to be made now that they are drilled out then we can weld them all together in the next week or so if I get parts back from machine shop.......

I have noticed that 61 trucks have some differences over later trucks. the latest is that the 61 steering column is about 1.125" lower than later trucks. The columns are actually shorter. I was wondering if that is true in the 100 and 200 trucks also. I kinda like the wheel lower maybe other people didn't so they raised it?
