ya that's my conclusion too. I will try a new breaker. I was driving today and it was popping with just the heater going so all signs now point to breaker.

correct its an aftermarket kit you could buy back in the day. also the bed is not a 9 footer. only 8 for some reason. I would change it to a nine foot if it were mine.

blower switch just has power coming in from wiper switch I think is black then a green to the heater. I will double check tomorrow. I did find a 3D pic of the heater in accessories section of the manual and it shows power supply coming from wiper switch. re 20 amp sounds right I will get a new one. I think napa can get them. the breakers are not unique to Chrysler

I always keep everything stock in most cases. I like to be able to refer to the wiring diagram if I ever have problems. makes the next owners life easier as well.

the only place I see to draw power is an extra spade connection on my wiper switch. the Problem is if I run both the wiper and the heater at the same time it keeps popping the breaker. is that where heater is supposed to draw its power from? and I just have a bad breaker? Or does heater power hook up somewhere else? I don't see heater fan in the wiring diagrams. this is on 1961-62 styl

those look like 1/2 or 3/4 ton power giant axles or possibly IH 3/4 ton. if they were W300 they would be much wider at the wheel flange

what I have learned is the PG trucks had optional locking glove box. so rare even on those. I have already painted the interior of the truck and don't want to try and match another glove box. I also figured out that the hole is a standard in the cabinet/lock/latch world so at least I can get something to fit. maybe I can modify a dash knob onto an off the shelf latch. If I tried install

Yes it looks original. the hole in the glove box door is different and the dash is slotted for the latch and there are not screw holes in door or dash. My latch is completely gone.

Yup think its a one year only deal. do you have a pic you can post? If its the same as late 50s to 60 I should be able to find one.

I have a 61 d300 and the glove box door was missing the latch. I got one from a 65 and it wont work. I think the 61 uses a 57 to 60 style latch. does someone have a pic of the 57 to 60 set up? Is it a twist to latch type? or has anyone seen a 61 to 68 with twist latch?

I have never seen them on my 65 and earlier trucks. haven't had a newer truck in too many years to remember. I think my newest was a 68
