if the truck is charging fine and has no shorts but gauge reads discharge the wires are probably hooked up backwards on the back of the amp gauge.

I agree also on the coil overs.. I got those shock numbers by cross referencing numbers from an old gabriel shock book and it gave the 555012 and 555013. The Dodge truck shocks have always been on the stiff side. The old military style Power Wagon shocks are the same part number as Kenworth shocks!

yes the part numbers i gave you are the correct shocks. 11/16 front and rear, top and bottom. short shocks in the back long ones in the front.

Stengel may not be able to answer your question. go to napa parts pro SE section and enter the part number and it will show u the shock and its eye hole size, extended length, collapsed length. then go measure your shocks, mounted length, collapsed length, and extneded length, and ey hole size. those numbers i gave you actually wil fit a number of dodge trucks for many years (motorhomes, w 30

nope have not sold the beater 62. I am putting another carb on this weekend and might build a bed for it for now. that truck has either a 318-2 or-3 I am pretty sure. It has the harmonic balancer which the -1s do not. The H&M SRW truck is a 61. slant 6, NP420, runs excellent. cant wait to get the bed on so I can drive it. so yours has factory rear shocks? I dont see that too much on t

Yes, I actually found a full set of 4 on craigslist some guy bought for a project he sold. they were still in the box but needed paint from stiing around too long. so I had a can of Desoto gold engine paint so they are gold instead of yellow. I like the yellow look but the gold actually looks pretty good against the freshly painted frame.

thanks. unfortunately I did not get pics of the 34. it was black, the perfect color. only bad thing was the chevy repower. there is something about that year dodge or plymouth I really like. I try to keep my eye out for a good 31 or 32 dodge with fatory straight 8 also. too bad the depression killed off the straight 8. if it hadn't then I bet dodge trucks would have got them too.

here is a current interior pic. still got to get door panels painted, ashtray painted, a lighter element with knob, floor mat, and reinstall brake controller. The brown seat I got from Russ Roth actually looks real nice with the turquoise. not a perfect seat but will get me by for awhile.

I took the truck over to the taste of Hood Canal car show today as it was only a couple miles so felt safe not getting rock chips in back of cab driving without the bed ;/) Got lots of interest but no trophy. lol I was the only Dodge truck. there was an excellent 34 Dodge 4 door sedan.

driving down Hwy 3 between bremerton and belfair WA today and a 62 thru 65 D100 with RB engine, buckets seats, and centered console in rough shape was left on the side of the hiway on a piece of property that is for sale. Only thing that made me wonder if it is not an actual HPP is it had a floor shifter? did they ever come that way? I am no expert on the CSS or HPP and dont really know the d

I have been watching napa go down in quality for years now. they used to only carry high quality then started carrying the chinese option, now it is all chinese. there are still some great parts guys at napa but there is absolutely no quality difference between them and anyone else anymore. chinese buying whores running the company. shucks/Oreilys is carrying superior lines of certain parts t

figured it out. the wiring is not different but the switch is. the wire coming out of the switch harness is supposed to be dark green but it is black and plugs into a dark green wire that is for the horn. doh.

I need a turn signal wiring digram for 1960/61. I have an extra wire that comes out of the turn signal switch loom and dont know where it goes. any one have the diagram? the one over at sweptline site says for 61 thru 65 but that is not correct. 61 is unique.

if you live on salty roads stainless might be the answer but if on the west coast I wouldnot go with stainless. the Balkamp stuff at napa is so easy to work with. stainless is brittle and does not like to bend.
