hey, I rain-x the crap out of mine in the fall, it usually last most of the winter, with the slope being so great on the windshields " they are almost vertical" the rain beads right off even at a stop. I hardly ever use my wipers, but i have done the "buy a long one and cut it in half" routine.

my guess would be none of them had two speakers. FM was the only thing that would need two speakers, if you wanted "stereo". not sure of the size, i have a 70, i took the old speaker out, it was bolted to a plate and the plate bolted to the dash, i was able to put in a single 6x9 out of my neon, i did have to add a couple holes to the plate, but it worked fine, sounds good too.

dump that old mopar ignition crap and go with an HEI, i did it, it works great. you lose the ballast, coil, points, brain-box and old wiring. done! i have pictures if you want. i did it on a 383, it uses a stock Chevy coil cap and rotor. the 440 looks a little different and less money.

yes the whole body, i am going to go with the same color, so under the hood and jams I'm going to leave alone to save a few bucks. probably going to go with a spray in bed liner after all is done. debating on losing the cab lights, i hate em.

the forum is sort of dead these last few weeks, just wondering who is still out there, and what is your latest sweptline news. After i got my HEI going , and replaced the fan clutch, the 70 D200 has been running pretty good. trying to save up a few bucks to get it media blasted and put in epoxy primer.

take it out of there, take it to a muffler shop, have them weld up the holes. i have seen someone who installed a choke cable onto it and made it a manual system. (not the best approach)

OK, I'm driving down the freeway about 70-75 (my speedo bounces) yes little-block guys these trucks can go that fast. My cab is whistling like a flute, I feel a loss of power, not a total loss but a noticeable loss and i hear what i think is the RPM's going way up. i pull over and everything seems fine, i get back up to speed and the same thing. Get this! the girlfriend says "sou

Most of the after market tach's use the negative side of the coil, they just count pulses. i would imagine the factory used this same electric pulse, most diesels use a magnet in the harmonic balancer with a mag. pick-up to count revs.if it is mechanical, you are on your own...... there should be three or four wires coming out of the tach, as a rule red is positive, black is negative, green

now i understand the question, yes the red orange combo, that is the 12 volts from the key, the red pink combo goes to the coil. it is about 6 volts when running. see that second picture

you should be able to get it done for under 300, i think i paid 285, it was a solid color vinyl, he repaired the ass dent in the driver side with new foam, he used the "good" heavy duty thread, and spaced a couple seams down the middle.

i would not think the heater core should be "walking around" much, I'd just put it back the way you found it, if you want to keep the air out, slap a little duct puddy or plumbers puddy around it.

my color is not listed either, however it is listed under the car section for that year, my truck is a 70 with the "gold poly" color, the closest thing for a 70 truck color is a "dark gold poly" and it is listed under chevy and GMC. so i guess what i am saying is look around its not always listed correctly, or dodge was playing around when they built our trucks.

plug all vaccuume lines, and try it again, check all the manifold bolts, and carb flange. check the timing and the spark plug wire location, make sure they are right. turn the air fuel mixture screw(s) in all the way, then turn them out each equally a turn and a half to two turns. give it a shot, let us know if anything changes.

looking into the rack and pinion thing a little further looks to be an expensive pain in the ass, seem the problem is with the straight axel, and the fact that the tie rod is behind it. there is a kit, about 700 bucks worth that will probably do the trick, but after all is said and done i see about a grand wraped up in this and a whole lot of fab. this kit is for 50's fords and chevys, look

i am pondering a new set up, rack and pinion, can it be done?, i can get one from a 2005 or so ram for about 180 dollars, ditch my box, all them damn hoses and slave cylinder. just jhave to mount it, connect the tie rods, plum up the supply and return hoses and connect the steering colum to the rack, done! BOOM! parts-is-parts nice rack!

recently i had a good friend who knows sweptlines pretty well, drive my truck, he noticed that my steering was loose. Today i crawled under there with all the intentions of loosening a jam nut giving a screw a turn or so and fixing my problem.........nope! seems that the place where my drag link (power steering) connects to the link from the steering box is loose, how do you tighten this?, it h

Ok, all this talk, I did it. Let me start of by saying it was NOT painless. I installed an HEI distributor, it works GREAT, it starts great, and did not have to cut any wires. I bought the distributor for $140, wires, $40, everything else i made or "found" at work. i took many pictures before i started, also i made sure it ran that day. first, i cut all the old electrical tape off th
