Seems that the stock one had a set of nylon or plastic teeth on the aluminum cam gear, well 42 years of service, it decided to let go, and let go it did. I got the truck home, towe

this is what chrysler should be building this is what we want, we don't want leather, navigation, clear coat, and we don't want to pay 20-30k for a "toy" build a capable 4x4 with minimal options for about 15k, and let me decide how i want to outfit it.

i used some of that white dense foam and over that i put the headliner material you find on E-bay, i used the contact adhesive to put it all together. i stuck it to the metal with the same adhesive cut it over sized and tucked in the excess.

the HEI project the single most important thing i did since i have owned the truck. made a world of difference, IMO it does not compare to the stock points or the mopar electronic ignition. i ran the mopar electronic ignition for a year, not impressed. goes like hell, i could have buried it but it was hard to take a picture holding on to that factory steering....wow. recovered the seat,

eh, who knows what I will do when I get the plymouth out of the garage. The daughter turns 16 in december working on getting her permit now, wants to drive the neon, good, gets it out of my garage. Igot a quote to media blast it, and put it in prime. might go that route and keep it in the garage for a year and then put it in poly gold.

got a 93, 5spd, CC, cummins, sitting in the garage, only 120k miles, bought it new in 93, paid 26k for it. W.W.G.D "what would grandpa do" he would sit and watch it rust, he was a mechanic, never worked on his own crap....only when he had to.

I have a pretty nice original 70,D200,383,727.power steering, and air conditioning. I am kicking around the idea of media blasting it, putting it in epoxy primer, and spraying it with the original poly gold color. The problem i am having is that i am removing 40 plus years of cool, the original paint on the tailgate letters, the factory pin striping, all the holes have meaning, all the scratches
