391. Rob....
I'm almost positive they had a smooth black collar with the polished dial/housing. If they were M-7s, I would have jumped on them right away. Doug has mentioned that the M15Es were an "auto-locking" hub. I'm still looking for any & all information on them. Thanks. John

For a good number of the '61-'68 W100s & W200s the Warn "M7" lock-out hub was used as original equipment. According to Warn Industries, these worked on Dodge DANA 44 axles from '59-'74. The "M7" is marked in the finger recess of the lock-out dial. I recently came across some NOS Warn M15E lock-out hubs. As with the M7, the "M15E" is als

I seem to hear more good reports from folks running Autolites than Champions as of late. I run Autolites in my '61 D200. I run Champions in another Sweptline. Both seem OK to me. John

QuoteMoparNorm They are quoting the left wing, anti-American Consumers Reports. JD Powers ranked Dodge Ram, Challenger, Jeep Patriot and Caravan as top or near the top, in initial quality. JD Powers has several Chrysler products in their best buy category. It's time we promoted JD Powers and panned CR. Patriot radio leans "right".... part of the reason I can listen

I heard on Patriot Radio Monday that Chrysler, out of the 33 brands sold in the U.S., ranked last in terms of overall product quality and customer service. Ouch.... As an aside, next year's models are normally rolled out in early Fall. The 2010 Rams will not be on lots "en mass" until early next year. Double ouch..... John

Quotetexxfletch how my truck looked when I bought it. What's with that puny bumper on the back? It would make for great plowing weight. It looks like you had 19.5" wheels in it? John

Go to the DTA photo album and look at pic #408. That is the way my US Army '68 W200 Utiline came to me. Fortunately, it looks a bit different now. John

QuoteKaegi I think many many customers still prefer the stick and will walk to the ford dealer when they want one. I "walked" last December.... not because I wanted to. Every Dodge Truck dealer in my region I approached had their head up their ass. Ford puts trucks ON their lots with sticks. I chose an automatic because shifting gets a bit "old" when you're plowing

John, Keep plugging away at it! Glad to hear you chased away that infection. I would suggest wearing a lot of shirts with tails that need tucking and try getting dirty as often as you can.... gotta keep things "interesting".... know what I mean?? John

QuoteJimmieD QuotePwrWgnDrvr Jimmie, where does that diagram come from? Its not entirely clear what some of the lines are. Is there any written description to go with it? Since it appears to be extremely precise in the measurements and specs, it also needs to identify what the drill bit tip angle is. The diagram was borrowed off the net, but the original is in the Mopar Performance Parts '

The 4.88:1 stock DANA 60 wasn't available with trac-loc. The NP445 will go good with the axle ratio. I have 4.88's in my '68 W200 with LT235/86/16 tires and am turning about 3300 rpms at 55mph.... ouch. The 3500lb front axle is the large knuckle 44... it compliments that winch. Tell your friend he should keep the winch. John

QuoteTrailmaster Nothing could beat an LA/435/205 with a winch for an all around great 4 wheeler. Don't need gobs of engine with gears. If I had a good LA/435 combo it would have found it's way in my D200. Pros fore 69-71 are the upgraded electrical systems and the wheelbase looks to be a bit longer, good if your using it for a work truck like I do. Cons from my standpoint are that som

Norm, Wil advertised some on Scott's site some time back. I'm not sure if he still has any left. Russ, It isn't the angle... you're spot on. The newer alternator I used needs to be "adjusted" slightly. I might or might not get to it this year. I have to get the 440 out of my R/T for a Winter re-build. Sweptline projects will start up again at the end of

Finally fired up my A318 after chasing down the weak spark issue and confirming placement of the mysterious "Orange Field Wire" I installed the MoPar Performance electronic ignition and it fired right up. It sounds real nice through the open headers Norm! Hopefully, this truck will make it on the road late next year [#4 ] John

QuoteTrailmaster Best thing I've found if you want to reuse the original U bolts is to WD40 them daily for about a week, using a wire brush before each treatment. I make it a practice not to re-install u-bolts. If they come off my trucks, new ones go on. John

QuoteJimmieD JD, there were all kinds of possiblities back then but I don't think that's one of them. After all these years you may find W100 trucks with a D60 rear/D44 front, like a 3/4 ton, but it's more than just axles. Say what??

From '61 through '68, all W100's came equipped with the 8 lug DANA 60 rear and 44 front. They went to the corporate 5 lug axles in '69. John
