Scott has been building a beautiful '70 W200 crew that, IMHO, easily rivals the '68 W200 on Ebay. The '68 is a real nice truck though... no doubt about it. I think the BlueTooth option probably added 120,000 to the price tag.... John

It was great meeting up with Jeff [& Nyla], Russ, Keith [& Tammy] and Bud Thorp. We all had a great meal and the following day, Jeff [& Nyla], Russ, Colleen & I headed down the Columbia River Gorge. Colleen & I had excellent tour guides. Jeff thought we should see Timberline Lodge on Mt Hood but the weather wasn't cooperative. Colleen & I took his suggestion thou

QuoteJimmieD So, some trucks came with, some without. Seems like the FSM Bible is not always correct for every single truck & there's wide variance from FSM in trucks that actually rolled off the assembly line? Would that be a true statement? Not entirely. Data regarding the hydraulic clutch master cylinder line(s) has been obtained from Dodge Truck Parts manuals. These are a differen

QuoteMoparNorm I'm not 100% sure about that??? My support bracket is exactly as shown in the "Except Flat Face Cowl", box, however the pedal assembly pivot tube is exactly like the "flat face cowl". My brake and clutch masters are also the same as the left box, cornfusing... :S I'd have to look it up, but isn't the flat face cowl, the P Series Trucks? Norm,

QuoteMoparNorm Well...I thought my truck was completely stock and original, when I removed the coiled clutch line. Now you're making me go look at the FSM...= ) Hey! I was wrong! (see how easy that was) My truck must have been modified by one of those Jeepers after the line broke in Baja...ha! ha! Norm, The upper left "boxed" drawing is not of a D/W 100/200/300 suppor

I tried a half dozen local Dodge dealerships this past December when I was in the market for a new truck. Every one of them had glazed eyes. It didn't make a difference whether I spoke to the fleet sales mgr or the owner of the dealership. All of their eyes were wide shut. Too bad for them. Maybe next time around?.... nah.... I kind of doubt it. John

Has the coil in the line above the slave cylinder as pictured on Norm's truck. None I have seen had a rubber hose. Just figured I'd hammer up the velocity of this topic a bit. John

In my parts books, in the Propeller Shaft section, lock washers are shown as being used with the u-joint strap bolts. As Norm pointed out, a dab of Loctite isn't a bad thing either. John

Alright Terry.... So, I will use the alternator with two isolated field terminals and connect the orange wire to the spade closest to the battery wire stud. Here endeth the lesson?.... yes?.... John

I stopped at NAPA and had them look up an alternator for a '71 D100 LA318. The picture they brought up, although a "representative" the actual part, showed an alternator with one of the isolated fields grounded to the case. Hmmmmm...... Someone over at Scott's forum looked at wiring diagrams and noticed that, up through '73, there was only one field wire. My crani

QuotePwrWgnDrvr Red wire from #19 feeds power to the ballast resistor from the ign switch. Yep... What I'm trying to do now is identify the orange wire that is "paired" with the red ignition wire. Both the red and orange wires run to a the female plug on the ignition side of the ballast resistor. The orange wire is the one not shown in the wiring diagram for '70 or

Update. The orange wire I've been questioning runs from the harness that terminates at the alternator to the ignition side of the ballast resistor. The red ignition wire that is paired with the orange passes through location #19 of the bulkhead and runs to the ignition switch. Currently, I have no spark. As i have no fuel either , I'm addressing that before returning to electrical
