Not sure if this link will work... Take a look at the right front wheel on this D200. It appears to be a one piece 16" with the correct hub rim for the stock "male" 3/4 ton pre '69 dog dish caps. I can't tell whether it is a one piece tube style wheel, as it looks like the valve stem is coming from a large hole which would indicate an inner tube. I don't

There's a member named RoxyFlash that has gone through one or two of these set ups and rebuilt them. If he doesn't see this thread, you might catch up with him over at the www.sweptline.org site. The control valve might be able to be fixed.... depending on current availability of parts. These factory power assisted steering set ups weren't anything to write home about.... Manua

Yout Slant 6 has 127hp. Will you be pulling a trailer or carrying heavy loads with it? If so, 3.55s might suit you better. If its just for cruising..... then the 3.23s will be fine. I have 2.94s in my '65 D100 with an A318 and NP435 4spd and it does just fine. John

Quoteswptln I haven't found any yet to purchase or borrow. I still want to reproduce them, but until I find a set I pretty much can't move forward...........so, I'm still looking to find a set. Mark, I came across a set in my shop. The right side arm is slightly bent, but you could probably just coax it back into shape. If you can use these, I'd be glad to let you borro

The '65 dash lever shift was a two cable set up. I'm not sure if this went away in mid-'65 or not though. I "think" it did. John

Quote66Joe I am using the 66 D-100 frame and the 77 has a automatic. The transfer case is a np-205 as well. Thanks for the welcome! Joe, If you intend on using the 727 Loadflite from your '77, you'll have to cut out the manual tranny bell housing cross member. The cut will need to be made in a way as NOT to remove any of the structure that aids in supporting the leaf spring perches.

A 360 would fit, but you'd need to address the balancing of the flywheel, as the 360 is not balanced the same as the 318. John

Mark, Try hitting up a local craft store. I'd imagine you could find some type of transparent cellophane that would do the trick. You'll probably have to travel by snowmobile though.... or wait until June for the snow pack to melt. John

The Power Wagon is a 4wd "W" model. Push button doors could indicate a door/striker switch or cab swap. The hood could have been replaced with a '69-'71 style hood. What does the dashboard look like?.... John

QuotePaul Cook in Kempner, TX Back in the seventies, we had a Winnebago Class A motor home. (Dodge M300) In conversations with mechanics, I was told that some front end alignments required a shop that worked on 18 wheelers since the solid front axle had to be bent. I haven't had this same conversation for many years and I don't know what the current procedure is. Even back then I

QuoteHobcobble Quoteacirco11 Need some help from you experts out there. Looking to piece together a truck I found with better body parts from other ones. I found the 66 D100 I wanted but it needs a lot in the body department. I know the door handles are only from 65 ½ -66 (refrigerator style) so I know I have to find those years. I am in good shape with the dash, seat, and most of the mecha

Quoteacirco11 Hi John, thanks for the nod again. However, this truck has been on craigslist for a very long time. It has modifications that I would not want to deal with unless I did them myself. "HAVE MOTOR, AND TRAN CAR 4SPD, RUNS GREAT , PULLED MOTOR TO SUB IN 90 DODGE FRONT CLIP" I have some history on this subject. I will continue to keep looking and hold out for an orig

The body panels are the same. The frames are also the same. The springs, as you pointed out, are heavier and do have a larger diameter bushing bolt.... therefore, the perch holes are slightly larger. The D200 has "200" fender emblems... John

QuoteGordo I have not seen or heard from Trey for about a year now. Is he still active? I bought this 440 oil pan from Trey for a sweptline application I never used it and now plan to resell it. Gordo Funny you mention Trey, Gordo. I just corresponded with him via email, as we're going to be traveling in New Mexico in a couple months. He's on our list of places to stop.

Alan, You would need to put together a two piece drive line with a carrier bearing for a 128" wheelbase Sweptline. You can use the same bell housing and could actually knock off the shift levers/rod from the 3/tree column. You'd want a ten spline input shaft model NP435 if you're still talking a '65 D100. John
