QuotePaul Cook in Kempner, TX I would like to look at your truck, but I can't get access to "sweptline" site. Does anyone else think that having access to this site should be good for both? Paul, In response to your statement..... Did you click on the link Doug provided? In response to your question...... Yes. John

Quotewideblock my buddies d200 has been running without them What is the "them" you're referring to? If you mean the spanners aren't installed but the cut cross member "stubs" which are integral to half of the spring perches are still intact.... that is one thing. If you're saying that your buddy is using the truck with no support to the perches from thos

Quotewideblock that looks nothing like the spanners on mine. all mine have been 2 angle iron (bent the same as yours) pieces that bolted to the outside of the factory brace after it was torched off. the hole locations are the same, but the spanners were not near as beefy as that one piece unit you have. as a matter of fact, on the 66 i am only using one, closest to the rear because the over sized

QuoteKaegi thanks for posting. are those studs fixed in the bracket or just bolts rusted in place? The two bolts which hold the master cylinder aren't fixed. The four bolts that hold the plate to the firewall are. John

This is for mounting a manual brake dual reservoir to the firewall of a '67/'68 D200, W100 or W200. Michael would not need this part. He would need the stand off bracket in Doug's pic. John

QuoteJimmieD I beleive '79 was the first year for 2-bolt master cylinders. Might find one on some few '78 but unlikely. Nope. You're incorrect. My '67 W200, '68 W100 and '68 W200 all have two bolt hole dual reservoir master cylinders with the corresponding firewall mounting plate, I've described in previous posts. John

I'll shuck it down to the cob more..... I should have been more "year specific".... Michael's W200 is a '67. At the end of the '66 model year, the master cylinder was "re-thought". For the '67 model year, the "new" dual reservoir master cylinder was introduced. All cabs ['61-'71] have a four bolt pattern on the firewall

QuoteKaegi not any of mine. all the masters I have had were bolted directly to firewall with 4 bolts. I should have mentioned that I'm talking about Michael's application.... a 200 series truck. John

QuoteKaegi 61 to 67 all have the 4 bolts into the cab also. Yep. The stand-off bracket is a four bolt set up. The manual brakes used a firewall plate that had four bolts to mount to the firewall and two studs for the manual brake master cylinder. John

The pre-'69 manual tranny D & W 100/200 trucks equipped with firewall mounted power brake boosters had a stand-off bracket to push it far enough away from the firewall as to clear the clutch master cylinder. John

If you're thinking of going this route, you might be in for drilling out your perch holes unless there's a bushing that'll work with a W200 spring and a D100 perch. John

Quotefadedmachines Hello, Is it possible (within reason) to take a cab and front clip from a 68 W200 and transplant it on a 62 W500 chassis? I know the fenders are different, and it would not have the factory look. I currently own the W500 and the cab is totally beat. No rust, but dented badly with no glass. Has anyone tried this? Would I need to build special body mounts? What about
